Tver Region abounds in water! There are about 800 rivers, and number of lakes surpasses 600. The main waterway is the mighty Volga River.      Mind the name of this private tourist center. The word "hizhina" is translated as an old, shabby, poor house, a hut, a shack, a lodge.      The translation of the word "ribinka" deserves your attention. It means a small, lovely fish. The fishing club is located on the southern shore of the Ribinskoye impoundment in the North-East of the Tver Region. It's a three-storied comfortable hotel. On the ground floor there's a restaurant with a hearth, a bar, a billiard room, and a storage-room for fishing equipment. On the first and second floors there are 19 rooms with modern conveniences.

    The hotel was built of pine logs, the roof, nice tiling. The furniture is made of solid oak and alder. The capacity is only 18 people, so the atmosphere is very homelike, but booking should be done in advance. The hotel is situated in a picturesque place on the shore of Volgo Lake.      This hotel stands in the forest on the bank of the river among birches and pines. Suitable for those who seek economical but comfortable rest. Maybe it lacks the chick and glamour of the hotels mentioned above, but it's quite good if you crave a quiet vacation in some far off exotic place. And the beauty of Russian nature will certainly overshadow everything!

     If you want to see the true life of ordinary Russian people, we can take you on fishing trip not far from the city of Tver, just a 20 min drive. You'll stay in a beautiful log lodge on the bank of the Volga River, eat the food cooked by the hostess, go fishing with the host who is a passionate fisherman himself.      Not that it is in any way related to fishing but, a half an hour drive by car will get you to the sports tourist complex Zavidovo. Until 1995, the center met the needs of the Government. In 1995, it was reconstructed and enlarged. One of the services of the complex is horseback riding.
